For those of us with no hope of making our way to Bavaria in Southern Germany to celebrate with the locals, we decided to tap into our own October First Tuesday to get some libations, Silicon Valley-style.
Check out the smiling Thunderbirds and friends getting together for a little noshing and a few drinks at Steins Beer Garden. Yes, that’s right, a beer garden. Well, there is even a little patch of grass outside in this little beer haven in downtown Mountain View. Considering that we are still in the midst of a drought, that’s rather impressive. As for this crew, you can see that we’re doing our part to keep the drought under control, by drinking more beer and rationing more water…ahem… Well, someone’s got to take one for the team, right? And look at all of these team players!
Did you know that Munich just held it’s 183rd Oktoberfest beer festival this year with two full weeks of drinking, eating, and festivities. It all started with a horse race in honor of a crown prince of Bavaria. If you want to learn more or want to think about going there in person in 2016, check out this Munich beer festival site.
